For the Love of Buttons

Ceramic button by Dottery Pottery

Just a quick post showcasing some of the interesting, quirky, and colourful buttons that I used to replace the boring ones on my coats, cardigans, and other clothes. How about you: do you embellish or alter your clothes? Feel free to share.

  1. Lovely buttons. I used to work with someone who would often taken button off garments, and sew them back with the reverse showing, as she thought they often looked better that way.

  3. Oh I love buttons, you can do so much with them. Meeting up with an old work colleague later in the month and she has a box of saved vintage buttons for me, cannot wait

  5. These changes are really simple but stunning. I've been hoarding buttons for a craft project, but suddenly see a lot of possibilities in my stash.

  7. I LOVE buttons, and often swap out the boring ones on clothes. I especially like a cardie with a mix of different ones like you have done here. When I was little my Nan always seemed to have lovely buttons on her coats (maybe a 60's/70's fashion thing I don't know) and big fab buttons on a coat always make me think of her.
